A new year with artistic practices that led us to new scenarios.
Selected by the Consortium of Museums of Valencia for “Everything is danced.” It began at the end of 2022 and continues until July 2023.
We carried out the third edition of Poets’ Album, with the support of the General Directorate of the Book, Comic, and Reading of Spain. Ministry of Culture and Sports.
Presentation of the book collection “El río suena” artistic and educational experiences in the space “Tu patio” in Madrid.
New course with Fuhem’s “Eslab,” a laboratory of reading and creative writing.
One of our works, “La trovadora,” returns to the stage with the company La bicicleta verde. We also performed in Cultural Centers with “El fruto al árbol, el pez al agua y la paz al mundo” (forum theater) with the company El duoLargo.
We began research and rehearsals for a dance piece for early years with our colleagues from Biavén.
Continuing to promote REACC and participating in the in-person meeting held in Azuara.
Community culture meetings “La lunar” once a month.
Another year of collaboration with Lekotek takes us to Argentina to carry out the program “Families in Community.”
And new experiences in Mexico where we work with various institutions and communities.

The year begins with the first in-person assembly of REACC held in Toledo.
Continuing with Poets’ Album second edition:
From conversations and readings of a range of
contemporary women’s poetry, we invite you to build your own time/space:
exploration of language, questions, images, movements, situations that expand possibilities. In the first stage, poets from Andalusia, Galicia, Madrid were selected. And in this second edition: Extremadura, Catalonia, Castilla y León.
“Dance your way, the body as text.”
In March, we traveled to Córdoba, El viso, to have an experience with the support of the Botí Foundation.
Between April and May, we conducted this laboratory with the collaboration of La Horizontal. With the support of Grants to associations for the development of training actions for young people, within the framework of socio-cultural animation and non-formal education, in the Community of Madrid.
Another year of collaboration with Fuhem, conducting the creative writing laboratory.
While continuing to share our work on social media and Vimeo channels.
Our publications can be found online and in bookstores: Traficantes de sueños, Librería Yorick, La Nube, El libro de Arena, La luciérnaga azul, and adding Librería Polilla in Mexico City, among others.

“Dance your way, the body as text.” Between February and June, we conducted this laboratory with the collaboration of La Tortuga. With the support of Grants to associations for the development of training actions for young people, within the framework of socio-cultural animation and non-formal education, in the Community of Madrid.
We premiered Poets’ Album first edition:
From conversations and readings of a range of

exploration of language, questions, images, movements, situations that expand possibilities. In the first stage, poets from Andalusia, Galicia, Madrid were selected. A virtual space has been created where you will find information about collaborative research/action.
In June, performances of the play “El fruto al árbol, el pez al agua y la paz al mundo” in collaboration with the Apoyo Association in Vallecas.
Another year of collaboration with Fuhem, conducting the creative writing laboratory throughout the course.
In October to December, we conducted the Tándem community device with REACC and the support of the 21distritos program of the City Council of Madrid.
While continuing to share our work on social media and Vimeo channels with the collaboration of Paloma Abate, we made changes to the Akántaros website.
Our publications can be found online and in bookstores: Traficantes de sueños, Librería Yorick, La Nube, El libro de Arena, La luciérnaga azul, among others.

The year begins by taking our forum theater play “El fruto al árbol, el pez al agua y la paz al mundo” to the Cultural Centers of Getafe.
While preparing for the re-release of the play “El castillo a tu jardín.” More news coming soon.
In the enigmatic spring, we launched REACC, the Network of Spaces and Agents of Community Culture, an open assembly for dialogue and support among professionals in the arts and community culture. More info and an invitation to join in the following link.
In the fall, we will participate in the II Theater and Society Conference. “Dramatization in the classroom: state and horizon.” With its subsequent publication organized by the Canis Majoris Foundation.
We are invited by La Térmica in Malaga to continue researching and creating with “Cuerpo Mutante.”
We started collaboration with the Aula de las Artes of the Carlos III University in its Omnívoros project (art + technology).
The Bailab creative dance laboratory resumes its experimentation time at La Horizontal.
We return to coordinating activities at the León Felipe Reading Room in Villaverde Bajo, Madrid. Our workshop and activity project promotes the meeting between books and readers of all ages.

We return to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid with “El cuerpo: una narración extendida II. Reminiscencias.”
We participate in the Word Festival in collaboration with UAH with “Soltar el mirlo (Ida en danza)” at the Corral de Comedias de Alcalá de Henares.
“Dance your way, the body as text” was selected to be part of the Knowledge Bank of Community Culture and will be available in 2019 to be shared in person with other Ibero-American collectives as part of the IberCultura Viva program.

The dance-theater play “¡Qué brisa, la risa!” was selected for the Festival of Performing Arts for Babies El Desván at the Teatro Calderón de Valladolid, in February.
Collaboration with the Latin American Network of Scenic Creation for the First Years.
Happy to continue collaborating with Fuhem in the reading/writing laboratory.
Fall brings a new book to the collection of artistic/educational experiences “El río suena”: “Una y otra vez: Teatro.”
In January, we return with the dance module at the School of Theater for the Oppressed at La Tortuga: Center for Creation and Research.

Collaboration with the Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid, with the research-action of dance and its “Suspended Gaze.”
We join Medialab Prado to carry out a new laboratory of “El cuerpo, una narración extendida.” Find all the information at the link.
The two new titles of the collection “El río suena” were released: “Cántaro de letras” and “Entonces baila, el cuerpo como texto.”

The project “Palabras Cantadas” was selected by CERLALC to be part of the PorLeer Portfolio 2015-2016 for its value as a multiplier experience. The Regional Center for Book Promotion in Latin America and the Caribbean (CERLALC) is an intergovernmental organization based in Colombia, under the auspices of UNESCO, working to create conditions for the development of reading societies.
In 2016, we carried out actions in Spain, Panama, and Argentina that can be viewed by exploring the tags on our blog, visiting the Vimeo channel, and on Facebook.
In addition, six of our actions are part of the Highlighted Catalog of Madrid Activa. Our proposals were selected and valued by a jury as of interest for the cultural programming of the 21 Districts, integrating the Highlighted Catalog. These are:
- “Baila a tu manera, el cuerpo como texto.”
- “Patas arriba, taller de teatro foro y social.”
- “Palabras cantadas, creación de letras de canciones.”
- “Rayuela, encuentro con el jugar.”
- “Tutú Maramba, bebeteca itinerante.”
- “¡Qué brisa, la risa!, obra de teatro-danza para bebés.”
